Anantara Dhigu

"Anantara Dhigu","

A quick 35-minute speedboat ride from the Maldives' main airport, the Anantara Dhigu is that quintessential tropical retreat that caters to every type of sun-loving traveler.

All the rooms feature colorful, island-style interiors that nod to the Anantara chain's Thai heritage.
Sunrise Beachfront Villas sleep three adults (or two adults and two children) and have private gardens, outdoor bathrooms and modern extras including flat-screen TVs and DVD players.

Choose from diving, sailing, snorkeling and surfing in the crystal-clear Indian Ocean, or find a quiet spot to lounge in an overwater villa, by the infinity-edge pool or on Dhigu's powder-white beach.
My favorite was the coconut scrub, which has a coconut oil base that feels incredibly hydrating, but I also loved the flower-filled footbath and the quick rubdown that kicks off all treatments.
From diving and snorkeling to sailing and fishing, the resort organizes everything from its Aquafanatic Watersports Center.
Less accomplished riders can stay close to home and sign up for lessons in the resort's tranquil lagoon.
The Terazzo resturant serves Italian specialties like grilled scallops and homemade lobster ravioli in a romantic oceanside dining room, while the beachfront Fushi Café dishes out delicious Maldivian curries.

Flights are available to Malé International Airport (MLE) from major U. S cities on a variety of carriers.
